History
Platinum Electric first opened in Santa Clara, California in 1999, and has expanded over the years to complete quality projects across the US.

Richard Weisinger, Founder
Richard began his career in the electrical industry in 1979. Working in his hometown of Houston, Texas, he was afforded the opportunity to work in a diverse market within the construction industry. After serving his apprenticeship, Richard obtained his journeyman license in Dallas Texas in 1982 and his first masters license in Palm Beach County Florida in 1989. And in 1999 he opened Platinum Electric in California’s Silicon Valley. And in 2005 moved back to Texas. Richard has obtained Master/Contractors Electrical Licenses in Florida, Hawaii, California, Georgia, Colorado, Texas and Louisiana.
Richard has worked on an assortment of projects during his career in the electrical industry. From single and multi-family dwellings, mid and high rise office building, technical and public schools, municipal and international airports, medical clinics and hospitals and specializing in industrial environments that include Oil & Gas, Marine and classified hazardous locations. Much of Richard’s experiences involve working with (Special Systems) industrial controls, Fire Alarm, temperature controls, gas detection and material handling conveyor systems.
Anywhere from design/build to build out of the above, Richard gained knowledge of safety, budgets, management and training.
